Child’s Play

In the exhaustion
of sunlight and water
I see you like a shimmer
on the waves
going out and coming in
to drench my toes
with wet kisses.
You make me crinkle
in the light of your smile.
I keep your pile of shells here.
We sit, drinking in the last of the light.
