What is it like to grow old?
Each day
must be wrestled
for its beauty,
enjoyed
for the dizziness
of a glass of wine
with someone
you love;
and when you sleep
lightly, turning
your body
side to side,
you must relax
and listen.
The coyotes
will ballyhoo
to the distant
sound of a train
and the million
passing moments.
