Hospice

Hotel, hospital,

haven for pilgrims of the past

all the same root word

host, hospitality,

huesped, l’hôte, hostel

a place to rest, linger,

lie in repose,

be comforted and restored,

a place to pass the long night

before rising to the next

morning’s journey.
